40 Cans for Lent
Archbishop Richard W. Smith reminds us, in his 2017 Pastoral Letter, that we are each called to "Live in the Word of God" every day of our lives. A significant part of Living in the Word of God is remembering that we are all "Stewards" of the gifts which God gives to each of us.
The 40 Cans for Lent campaign is our opportunity to further Live in the Word of God by remembering that, although the economy may not be great, we still need to do what we can to help those in our community who are in need.
Please consider putting one can of food aside each day during Lent as a contribution to the 40 Cans for Lent Campaign. Last year, our Knights of Columbus, Father Michael Troy Council #15290, through the 40 Cans Campaign, contributed 1,300 lbs of food to the Marian Centre to help provide food for those in need.
Here is a list of food items most needed at the Marian Centre:
Your donation can be dropped at the church, into the 40 Can for Lent collection box in the Gathering Space.
