There is no celebration more significant to the life of the church

than the Celebration of the Eucharist

  Ministry of Hospitality

Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have

unknowingly entertained angels."  Heb 13:2

Greeters and Ushers play a key role in the living Body of Christ as they welcome believers to the assembly when they arrive for Mass or other celebrations being held in the parish.  The hospitality they show in greeting and welcoming parishioners and visitors, helping people find a seat, in collecting the gifts during the Offertory, presentations of the Offertory gifts, distributing of Sunday bulletin after the celebration and well wishes for the week reflects the idea that Church is our home.

 Music

"Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth.  Worship the LORD with gladness;

Come into his presence with singing."  Psalm 100

Good Liturgy requires Good Music.  This can be expressed in different ways.  All types of instrumentalists, vocalists and leaders of song are required to provide good liturgy at the various celebrations.

  Reader

Commentators deliver a welcome message prior to the celebration and invites the congregation to join the choir in the processional hymn.

Prayers of the Faithful ministry spends time in prayer and reflection with the upcoming Sunday readings and then writes the prayers of the faithful for the Sunday Masses.

An Act of Faith and Worship.  Adult Servers assist the celebrant in the Celebration of the Eucharist during the liturgical year, Baptisms, and special celebrations.

  Junior Server

A Junior Server serves the parish faith community in their acts of service during the Celebration of the Eucharist.  Junior Servers have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion (Grade 3 or older).  They assist the Adult Servers and the Celebrant during the mass.  Training is provided.  Retreats are held to gather all Junior Servers together for a time of friendship, prayer and fun.

  Eucharistic Ministry

Eucharistic Ministry consists of laity who assist our priests in distributing both the body and blood of Christ at each of the masses.  These Ministers are people entrusted to perform a special service for the members of their parish community and by performing this extraordinary service; they distinguish themselves by their Christian life, faith and morals.  Members want to grow in love for the Eucharist, to personify more deeply Christ's love for others.

'Participation'          'Commitment'          'Responsibility'

Individuals are committed to the Parish, to the Ministry and to serving others.  They want to give something of themselves to the church and to the parish community.  This ministry is open to junior servers who have reached their high school years.

Sacristan

This ministry ensures that all vestments and altarcloths are clean, candles are trimmed, hosts and wine are available for each celebration and that all liturgical vessels are cleaned and ready for use at each weekend celebration.
